A custom hair topper creates targeted coverage through a thinning crown, widening part, or another area where you want more visual density. Each topper is color-matched, cut, and customized to blend with your natural hair. The topper is the hairpiece itself. Depending on the strength and density of the natural hair available for support, it may be sewn onto either a mesh-and-beaded foundation or a beaded-only meshless foundation.
A custom hair topper is a customized hairpiece designed to provide targeted coverage through a thinning crown, widening part, or another area where you want more visual density. Yours is color-matched, cut, and blended into your natural hair so the transition looks soft, cohesive, and believable. Topper construction can vary, including lace, HD lace, or other base materials when appropriate for your hair, coverage needs, and desired finish.
The topper is the hairpiece that creates the coverage. How it is supported depends on your natural hair. If the available hair is structurally strong enough, the topper may be sewn onto a customized beaded-only foundation using Meshless Integration. If additional support is needed, Mesh Integration begins with breathable mesh laid over the appropriate area; the natural hair is fed through the mesh and secured with beads, and the topper is then sewn onto that completed foundation.
Full, natural coverage over your crown or part from the very first day.
Your restoration is designed around healthy support areas rather than relying on an everyday clip-in topper.
Color-matched, cut, and blended into your own hair so it simply disappears.
The foundation is customized to your natural hair: a beaded-only meshless foundation when the hair can support it, or a mesh-and-beaded foundation when more structure is needed.
A thinning crown or a widening part line.
Visible thinning or reduced density across the top, crown, or part line.
Clients experiencing hair changes related to a diagnosed medical condition who want a cosmetic coverage option.Medical hair-loss conditions should continue to be managed with your physician or dermatologist.
Clients with areas of reduced density who want customized cosmetic coverage while supporting their broader hair-care plan.
Whether a topper is right for you is confirmed together at The Discovery, never assumed in advance.
I review your hair history, visible density pattern, coverage goals, and the strength of the natural hair available for support. Then we determine whether a custom hair topper is an appropriate cosmetic restoration option for you.
Your topper is custom-sourced and color-matched to your own hair, down to the texture and tone.
If your natural hair is structurally strong enough, I build a customized beaded-only foundation for Meshless Integration. If more support is needed, I lay a breathable mesh foundation first, feed the appropriate natural hair through the mesh, and secure that hair with beads to create the Mesh Integration foundation. Your topper is sewn onto the selected foundation, then cut, blended, and styled with your natural hair.
Your topper and foundation are refreshed on the maintenance schedule designed for your system so the fit, support, and blend can be reassessed as your natural hair changes. Your personalized plan outlines the recommended schedule and what is included.
The topper is the hairpiece that creates your coverage. Mesh and meshless describe the foundation used to support that topper. Meshless Integration uses a customized beaded-only foundation when the natural hair is structurally strong enough to support it. Mesh Integration begins with breathable mesh; the natural hair is fed through the mesh and secured with beads to create a more supported foundation. We determine the appropriate foundation at The Discovery.
